For the 4th of July a bunch of us got together (Katie/Luke, Glen/Sara, Johan/Julie) Wednesday night the 3rd and hung out in the parking lot of a school while we waited for Altoona's fireworks to start. We grilled and did some fireworks. Had a lot of fun. Easton this year actually got into doing sparklers and the little snakes. Couldn't do much else with fireworks since we were in city limits and it's against the law in Iowa. Ace did really well with not being that fussy and also did well with the noise of the fireworks. Had a great time with friends. Easton also enjoyed staying up way past his bedtime. He was still going strong at 11:30 when we finally got home.
For the 4th the boys and I joined my sister in Indianola and swam at the aquatics center and also attended Indianola's 4th of July celebration. Jesse joined us later for dinner and the fireworks. Indianola definitely has a great fireworks production and they also lit up some hot air balloons..had bouncy houses and food. Definitely a good time. I'm sure we will be attending that every year hopefully since it was such a good time and the boys loved it.

Firebird
Sad day for this girl. My cherry red firebird that I purchased on my own probably more than 7 years ago has finally sold and gone to a new owner. I loved that car and it matched my personality to a tee. I can remember cruising around town with the windows down and just having a good time. That car will surely be missed but at least the new owner will have fun with it. Hopefully he doesn't get pulled over to many times because of the dark tinted windows :) I had Jesse take a picture of me and the car before we sold it. I really had wanted to keep it for Easton but that is to many years away and it would of just rotted away since it wasn't kept in a garage or cleaned. I will forever remember my very first car I purchased on my own and how much fun we had together.

Nasty diapers
Poor little Easton has been having a hard time lately. He's been having really bad diapers for the past 3 weeks. Not just like 1 or 2 a day...it ranges from 4-7 per day. Finally i did take him into the Dr just because it's been going on so long and he's never been vaccinated for the Roto Virus. They did some tests and all his tests came back normal. He's started to drink milk more these days so i took him off all milk and juice for a couple of days and he seems to be feeling better and not having as many nasty diapers. Could be the milk allergy is back and he just cannot have that much milk per day. Poor guy..had to be miserable.
On a positive note..Easton has been using the big boy potty at daycare on a daily basis. He'll even use it at home from time to time. Hopefully we're going in the right direction of him becoming potty trained. One can hope anyways :)

The Start of Summer
Ace is finally adjusting to daycare. It has taken a couple months for him to be to the point where he's happy at Vickys. Poor guy i guess would just scream if he wasn't being held constintly. He's sleeping better and just being an over all happier baby. Easton has also adjusted to Ace being at daycare. He's not as whiny or disobedient at home. I do believe with the change of his brother attending his daycare he was acting out by being disobedient. He definitely had an attitude. He has come to love his brother and wants to be all up in his space whenever possible. I always have to remind him that Ace needs his personal space. Not sure why but he loves being all up in his face and kissing him all over. I love how they interact with each other. Ace will just smile real big when Easton is trying to play with him. When Ace is fussy Easton will go and get his favorite musical toy and his paci for him. It's the cutest thing ever.
Ace is definitely sleeping better at night. He is only getting up once to twice per night which i can totally handle. The nights where he was getting up every hour were getting old and Jesse and I were both exhausted on a daily basis. So glad he's going in the right direction and if he does wake up he can find his paci and sooth himself back to sleep. He also no longer needs to be swaddled at night. He's also getting more accustomed to his veggies, fruits and cereal. Took him a while to adjust eating real food or if you can call it real food. Yesterday he started to learn how to roll all over. Not looking forward to the nights where he'll roll on to his tummy and not be able to get back and then get mad. Easton went through that phase around 5 months and he was up every 20 minutes because he'd roll over and then not know how to roll back. Luckily last night he didn't roll at all in the middle of the night..he just is everywhere else in his crib..
Since the weather has gotten nicer out we spend more time outside. Easton loves playing outside. At the copper creek garage sales i ended up purchasing him a little bike with training wheels. He was so excited when he got home from daycare and seen that in the drive way. He wanted to ride it right away. Jesse tried teaching him to pedal but the poor guy just didn't have the cordination to pedal. He did have a lot of fun riding with daddy pushing him until he was riding down the hill and he turned the handle bars real sharp and biffed it. Hit his head on the concrete. His cheek right away started to swell and bruise. Poor guy looks like he'd been beat up. He didn't want to get back on the bike but i told him that when you fall off the horse you have to get back on. He did eventually and had fun again. Hopefully over the course of the summer he'll get better at it. I do though need to purchase him a helmet just for these purposes since he's not quite graceful with it yet.
I'm excited for the warmer weather and getting to spend outside swimming, playing at the park, riding bikes, bon fires and going for long walks. Purchased a double stroller so I can take both boys on a walk with me. Going to be a great summer with the boys.

2.) 6/12 Ace very fussy at daycare. Park with Easton and Ellie. Ace slept great 9-2 and 2-6am
3.) 6/13 Jesse and Easton went for a long bike ride to Johan's. Ace did better at daycare today. Slept 8-12:30 and 12:45-3:30. Not a great night
4.) 6/15 Family road trip to Uncle Stubbys lake house for Fathers Day Weekend. Ace did great today with little to no fussing. Ended up being a great day getting to know Jesse's other side of the family better. Great Grandpa Vernie Donna Mae's first time to meet Ace
5.) 6/16 FATHERS DAY - boys got daddy some tools. Barbeque out at Steph and Bens house. Ice cream social at their church
6.) 6/17 Ace had a tough day at daycare. Mondays always seem to be the hardest days for him. Cried all day for Vicky. Found out today that Jesse is fixing the bottles incorrectly. 8.) 6/20 Ace holds his own bottle
9.) 6/21 Pool time with cousins Grady and Jace along with a barbeque. Ace fussy the whole night

14.) 6/28 Easton the start of horrible diapers
15.) 7/01 Easton's dr's appointment for nasty diapers - results turned normal. Laying off milk since that seems to be the underlying issue
