I can't believe our little man is 6 months old. Pretty soon we're going to be sending him off to kindergarden. Hopefully time doesn't fly that fast. I'm enjoying how little and fun he is at this stage in his life. At our 6 month check up Easton weighted 15lbs 8oz and was 27.5 inches long. Doctor says he's just going to be a tall and skinny little guy. He is still in the 25% for his weight and 75% for his height.
Over the course of the last month, he's really been talking a lot, smiling like crazy. We call him gummy because he smiles with all his gums. It's so cute..he has the cutest smile. He's learned how to sit with no help, Loves spitting out his food at mommy when being fed. He's learned how to roll from his back to his tummy. This took some time...he couldn't quite get his arm out from under him for him to actually do a full roll over. It wasn't until I took him over to my sisters house since our day care lady was sick that he actually did it all on his own. I think watching his cousin roll over helped a little. Since he has learned how to roll over he rolls over constantly in his crib but the bad part is is that he hasn't quite figured out how to roll back over once he's on his stomach. Makes him super mad. This is especially hard at night. The first night he learned how to roll over i was up every 5 minutes for an hour rolling him back over since he gets so upset about being on his tummy. Finally i came up with the idea to line his crib with his canvas boxes that holds his shoes, towels, spit rags...things like that....now he doesn' have room to roll over. I feel bad but mommy needs some sleep and isn't getting it when she's up all night rolling him back over to his back since he hasn't quite figured out how to do it.
He's getting more and more used to his jumperoo. He didn't really know what to think of it at first nor know what to do. I don't think he felt very secure in it since he's such a little guy. Every day he gets better at jumping and having more fun.
He's loving his vegetable's. He doesn't like it that I can't feed him fast enough. Every time he gets fed with a spoon he thinks he can eat the spoon instead of the actual baby food. We have to undress him to his diaper because he gets food everywhere when he eats including all over mommy. We haven't tried any fruits yet but his pediatrician says its time to start introducing new foods.
He's finally sleeping through the night for the most part. He loves sleeping with his paci pals because he can find them easily. I actually have 5 paci's in his crib so where ever he moves..there will be one right by him. It helps us so we don't have to actually get up and put his paci in all the time.
I love watching Easton grow up. A part of me doesn't want him to grow up but then again it's so fun watching him concquor his mild stones. He's is the best baby ever. Very down to earth and laid back..kind of like his daddy. Only time he fusses is when he's hungry, tired or has a dirty diaper. We couldn't of asked for a better behaved baby..he truly is our little blessing and I thank God everyday for him being in our lives and making them that much brighter.
