Grandma and Grandpa Herman's

Michelle thought of the idea of where Steph and I and all the boys would meet her and mom halfway to drop all the boys off and let them spend a week with Michelle's kids and being on the farm. Steph and I both thought it was a great idea. The boys would love spending time on the farm with their cousins and getting to spend more time with Grandma and Papa Chuck and it would also give us parents a time of peace and quiet and to do our own thing. Steph especially enjoyed it since she had a lot of things she wanted to get done before baby #3 came along. Jesse and I on the other hand didn't have much planned. He worked two nights at Spring Valley and then we were up at the fair grounds at the camper with Johan and Julie a couple of nights. It was a nice break but boy did i sure miss Easton while he was gone. The boys had a bunch of fun. Olivia was in charge of Jace and Bridget was in charge of Easton. They didn't enjoy feeding the cows to much or visiting the water tank. It was a little intimidating. They did have fun swimming and getting spoiled by grandma and michelle. Easton had his first ice cream cone. We don't eat a lot of sweets so he just doesn't get all that stuff at our house. Apparently he didn't know exactly what to do with it and it was funny watching him eat this ice cream cone...Jace and Grady knew exactly what to do. They did go swimming one day and apparently Easton was scared to death. He just clinged to grandma. Jesse and I took him swimming at my friend Jills apartment complex and he was scared spittless. He didn't like the water at all. Not sure if its just because he's used to his baby pool and a large body of water scared him but it was not plesant at all. We had to leave shortly after getting there just because he hated being in the water. Overall i think the boys had a blast and so did the parents having a week of peace and quiet. We will definiltey be doing this every year so the cousins can all play together.
