Easton - 18 Months

Wow...can you believe Easton is already 18 months old. Pretty soon he'll be two and not my baby anymore. He sure is growing up faster than I want him to. This has never happened before but at his 18th month check up Easton was scared to death of the doctor...so scared that he bit me which he's never done. He wanted nothing to do with Dr Owens. He's always been very calm and collect when we go and see the Dr. Guess he's getting to an age where he know's the Dr's office and the nurses.

At his 18 month check up he weighed 24.6 lbs and was 33.5 inches long. He's still on the taller side for his weight as he was still only on the 25% for his weight and almost off the charts for his height. He's not talking as much as the Dr would like but he is saying a few words here and there. The Dr wants him to be saying some what sentences and pointing to his body parts by the time he's two...otherwise he wants him to see a speech therapist. Not something a mom wants to hear about her son....that he's on the slower side but i hear that boys develope slower than girls. I'm not overly concerned right now as he's still learning and figuring things out. The Dr also suggested getting Easton in with the eye doctor this month to see if his tear ducts have cleared up. If they haven't..he would be at the right age for surgery. This month Easton had his first bloody nose. It came out of no-where. Luckily Jesse caught it before he got blood everywhere

Easton's likes are: playing outside, bath time, being able to get his own snacks out of the pantry and even bringing me things that aren't snacks (coffee)...pulling Sammie's tail, playing with his trucks and balls, wrestling with daddy, hot feet on the couch, watching nascar. His new words are shoe, juice, thank you, please and help, cookie and cracker. Easton's dislikes: Sharing any toy of his with others.

Jesse and I have had a great time watching our little boy grow and become a toddler. He's at such a fun and silly age. Having him being able to interact with us has been such a joy and makes every day better.
