Easton - Eye Doctore

At Easton's 18 month check up his pediatrian informed me that he's now at the age to get his tear ducts checked out. As a baby he always had problems with clogged/closed tear ducts and his pediatrician wanted to make sure that they were starting to open and if they weren't he wanted him to have the tear duct surgery by the time he was 2 years old.

Easton wasn't very impressed with the Eye doctor. It was a very tramatic experience for both Easton and I. Holding him down with all my strength just so the doctor could look into his eyes. Not fun at all. Luckily his tear ducts have opened and he is not in need of the surgery at this point. He said that his tear ducts will start to get bigger as he grows and that it shouldn't be an issue. We did find out that Easton as of right now is far sided. It's amazing how they can tell that at such a young age. The Dr didn't feel the need to see him again any time soon. What a relief.

Family Vacation - June 18-23

Last year for Christmas my family decided instead of doing gifts for everyone that we would take a family vacation. The destination turned out to be Branson, MO. My moms friend let us use her timeshare which worked out perfectly. It was 3 large units all connected giving us plenty of room for all of us. Some of us took in some shows, floated the river, played mini golf, Silver Dollar City two days and visted Big Creek Resort. Jesse and I got there a day earlier than everyone else so we hung out at the resort swimming and taking in the sites. It was nice and relaxing but also exhausting since we did do a lot of stuff in a short period of time. It was nice to get away with just the Adults and Easton even did great with Grandma Brenda at our house. This weekend was the weekend Jesse and I also broke the news of expecting Baby K #2....everyone was super excited!!!

Baby #2

Instead of just telling Jesse that baby number 2 was on the way...i wanted to inform him in a clever way...so Easton and i went shopping for a white onsie and puffy paint. We wrote "BIG BROTHER" on his white onsie and when i was getting him ready for bed i dressed him in it and told him to go and give daddy a big hug. Unfortunately Jesse already had somewhat of a clue but it was still a cute way to tell him and Easton was super excited about his new shirt.

Bartlesville OK

I haven't been back to OK in a couple of years so I was so excited when i got the text that my friends Tommy and Josh were getting married. Perfect reason to make a trip back to my o'l stomping grounds. None of my friends had met Jesse or Easton and Easton is almost 2 years old. Crazy how time flies and how time gets away from you. I had a great time seeing old friends, introducing everyone to Jesse and Easton, taking Easton to the kiddie park, visiting old employers and employees and hanging out with my best friends family out at their acerage. Even took Easton fishing for his very first time and he caught one right when daddy casted it out. Pretty exciting. Was also able to connect with my good friends and previous baby sitting kids Jeff and Marci and their family.Easton had fun feeding the goats at their house.  I also showed Easton and Jesse where i graduated from college and even took them to feed the ducks. Overall the weekend was a crazy busy one but we had a great time and the wedding was absolutely perfect and gorgeous. Couldn't of asked for a better weekend in OK. It was rather toasty but nothing we couldn't handle. Cherri was gracious enough to let us stay at her place and I had a great time caughting up with her. She was also nice enough to babysit Easton while Jesse and I attended the wedding. We were suppose to go camping with Christy and her family but unfortunately we got rained out and wasn't able to go. That would of been interesting to see how Easton would of done camping and sleeping in a tent. One of these days we'll take him camping and canoeing. Easton as always was a great travelor as well. He slept a lot and played a lot with his toys that I brought.
