Crazy how Easton is 5 months old already..Took him to his pediatrician for his check up and he weighs 14lbs 8oz and is 26.5 inches long. He's growing..just little by little. Seems like he gaines about a lb a month on average.
At 5 months i decided to completely give up on the breast feeding. It was just becoming too difficult and depressing all at the same time. I was only getting on average 6 oz a day and that was pumping 3 times a day. Over the course of the month Easton has really showed his personality. He loves playing with his feet..he can hold his own bottle now and he loves his baby food. He's learned how to make spitting noises with his lips..its really cute...he'll immiate one of us from time to time. He definitely knows what the bottle is. Even if he's not hungry and he sees that bottle..he wants it. He will throw a crying, kicking, screaming match until he has it. Most of the time he's really hungry so Jesse and I give in and get him a bottle..after he's got that bottle in his mouth..he's one happy camper. His sleeping habits are getting a little better. He is only waking up about 1 time per night to eat. Its normally around midnight which isn't all that bad.
Jesse and I have definitely enjoyed these last 5 months with our little guy..He brings such joy to our lives even if we are lacking sleep and have had to forget about our going out lifestyle...lol...Wouldn't trade the world for him. He is such a cutie and we are thankful every day for his loving personality, precious smile and overall health.. Excited about the months to come.
