Trip Home to South Dakota

Easton and I ventured out on a trip of our own to South Dakota to put some finishing touches on Jesse and I's reception and to get my dress fitted. I was kind of reluctant about the drive with just myself and Easton but it went fairly well. I stopped a lot on the side of the road due to him dropping his toys or paci and then stopped at some rest stops so he could get out and play. What should of taken us 5.5 hours ended up taking us 8 hours. We did however stop in Sioux Falls for a quick Hobby Lobby run and to visit Michael so that added on some as well. I decided to leave an extra day early due to my niece celebrating her birthday. I haven't been home for one of my nieces birthday's in quite a while so it was good to be able to celebrate with her and then have them play with Easton. Over all the trip home was a success and we got a lot accomplished. There was a lot of spray painting going on, Easton had his first 4-wheeler ride, Easton was allergic to Grandma's detergent...he broke out everywhere the entire time we were home...Dakota fest day, and we had a bonfire one night.  Great time home.
Our travels back didn't take as long as Easton slept most of the way. Ended up only taking 6 hours going home...It was sure good to be home. We got home before Jesse was home and when we were home waiting on him Easton was pacing the floors looking for him. When Jesse got home and the door opened...Easton knew right away daddy was home...it was so cute the way he looked for daddy and realized he was home after he heard the door..what a smart little boy...he missed his daddy being gone almost a week. I of course missed him as well....longest we've been apart!
