Ace is finally adjusting to daycare. It has taken a couple months for him to be to the point where he's happy at Vickys. Poor guy i guess would just scream if he wasn't being held constintly. He's sleeping better and just being an over all happier baby. Easton has also adjusted to Ace being at daycare. He's not as whiny or disobedient at home. I do believe with the change of his brother attending his daycare he was acting out by being disobedient. He definitely had an attitude. He has come to love his brother and wants to be all up in his space whenever possible. I always have to remind him that Ace needs his personal space. Not sure why but he loves being all up in his face and kissing him all over. I love how they interact with each other. Ace will just smile real big when Easton is trying to play with him. When Ace is fussy Easton will go and get his favorite musical toy and his paci for him. It's the cutest thing ever.
Ace is definitely sleeping better at night. He is only getting up once to twice per night which i can totally handle. The nights where he was getting up every hour were getting old and Jesse and I were both exhausted on a daily basis. So glad he's going in the right direction and if he does wake up he can find his paci and sooth himself back to sleep. He also no longer needs to be swaddled at night. He's also getting more accustomed to his veggies, fruits and cereal. Took him a while to adjust eating real food or if you can call it real food. Yesterday he started to learn how to roll all over. Not looking forward to the nights where he'll roll on to his tummy and not be able to get back and then get mad. Easton went through that phase around 5 months and he was up every 20 minutes because he'd roll over and then not know how to roll back. Luckily last night he didn't roll at all in the middle of the night..he just is everywhere else in his crib..
Since the weather has gotten nicer out we spend more time outside. Easton loves playing outside. At the copper creek garage sales i ended up purchasing him a little bike with training wheels. He was so excited when he got home from daycare and seen that in the drive way. He wanted to ride it right away. Jesse tried teaching him to pedal but the poor guy just didn't have the cordination to pedal. He did have a lot of fun riding with daddy pushing him until he was riding down the hill and he turned the handle bars real sharp and biffed it. Hit his head on the concrete. His cheek right away started to swell and bruise. Poor guy looks like he'd been beat up. He didn't want to get back on the bike but i told him that when you fall off the horse you have to get back on. He did eventually and had fun again. Hopefully over the course of the summer he'll get better at it. I do though need to purchase him a helmet just for these purposes since he's not quite graceful with it yet.
I'm excited for the warmer weather and getting to spend outside swimming, playing at the park, riding bikes, bon fires and going for long walks. Purchased a double stroller so I can take both boys on a walk with me. Going to be a great summer with the boys.
